Hello to everyone on this snowy March day. I guess March has indeed come in like a Lion!!! Since I am snowed in I have a perfect opportunity to get my March newsletter out.
BLOGGING LIKE CRAZY
We are blogging away like crazy and updating our site with new pictures, recipes and parties on a daily basis. All of our blogs can be easily linked to and viewed from our website. The blogs are filled with recipes, design, entertaining, gardening, fashion and travel ideas.
NEW RECIPE: “Travel Makes Perfect Appetizers”
Check out our new recipe and article on The Well Fed Network. “Travel Makes Perfect Appetizers” We have used fun wine drizzles found in our travels that enhanced a delicious appetizer that I’m sure you will enjoy making and eating.
NEW RECIPE: Spa day, Snow day, perfect any day, Smoothie
In our recipe section we also have added a great Spa day, Snow day, Perfect any day, Smoothie. Sure to give you a boost of energy and good health year round.
PARTY IDEA: The Botanical Gardens Candy Train
Check out our Candy Train party photos that were inspired by The Botanical Gardens Train and Flower show. Who says you need to have the Botanical Gardens to create an indoor garden party in your own home. Add a train that chugs along around beautiful china and fragrant flowers and you have your very own version of the Botanical Gardens train and flower exhibit in your own home. There is something about a train, especially one filled with candy that makes us all stop and smile no matter how young or old we may be.
BOOK OF THE MONTH
The book of the month is F Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby. Feel free to discuss the book at our forum.
COMING SOON: Great recipes and travel ideas
We are going away to Florida for a week and then to Vermont for a week and I plan to come back with great recipes and travel ideas from both locations that will be in next month’s newsletter along with some fun Easter cupcake ideas.
COMING SOON: St Patrick’s day Recipes
I am also working on my next story that is perfect for St Patrick’s day, a delicious recipe for Irish coffee ice-cream and an article on pistachio paste that makes the most delicious pistachio ice cream.
COMING SOON: A formal rose garden step by step
The Paris House is adding a formal rose garden this Spring and we will be adding a step by step plan on how to create your own rose garden. I have a lot of land to have all of these gardens, but you can create a beautiful garden in any setting and with less space. Just As I mentioned above with my little version of the Botanical Gardens Train and Flower show, it just takes a bit of planning and creativity and you can have a beautiful garden indoor and outdoor no matter how much space you have.
UPCOMING EVENTS
The Paris House is getting ready for our April in Paris presentation that is coming up soon. This is a class filled with travel, party, entertaining and design ideas with great menu and recipes for all students to take home with them. All information and dates on up coming classes and events are on our website.
Start planning your Spring Fashion!
This Spring The Paris House Designs is all about High Fashion and of course High Heels!! Start planning what you will be wearing this Spring. Go through your closet and see what you have and what you need to get. Always “shop” your closet first and then get what you need and don’t go crazy with trends. Trends are just not that chic or interesting and are often a waste of money.
I keep it simple and wear a lot of dresses, they are pretty and it is only one piece of clothing that I have to deal with and with 3 sons and a business I have no time but I still want to look nice. Check out our fashion page and videos. Some places I like are Boden and DVF and I am loving Escada these days. Who knows what I’ll be into next month but whatever your style, there is something great out there for all of us no matter our age, size or budget!!
