Working in a garden
never ever seems like work!

Michele (aka 'Bunny') and her family are avid gardeners. Her love of gardening goes back many years to her childhood.  Since then she has been fortunate to have traveled throughout the world to find inspiration for her garden.  From the historical gardens of Colonial Williamsburg, the formal gardens of Versailles, the artistic gardens of Giverny, the spectacular balconies in Venice, Italy and the wonderful gardens in England.

Winter Blues

Welcome to The Paris House.  I hope you enjoy your visit  during our first snowfall of the season.  We had about 8 inches of powdery sparkling white magic.  Grab a Cup of Hot Chocolate and put on your boots, mittens and scarf.. Grab a handful of snow, and lets have a snowball fight my friends.  If the cold is not [...]

Frightful Poem and Autumn Garden

My My Worst Nightmare
{by my son, Teddy R. at age 11}

There is a bed I lie
And ask myself why
Be the one?
That cries
I worry there about my fears
And lie in my tears
Then something that I hear
I get out of bed
Although I am scared
I really dared
To look under the bed
And right there I see a head
He reaches [...]

Magdalena Maria’s Garden Room

Magdalena’s hands were trembling as she was on her knees in her parent’s Jardin Hiver ( their winter garden room).  Magdalena was both jet lagged and so nervous  that she dropped a gorgeous Terra cotta pot filled with the her favorite Apple Blossom Scented Geraniums.  Magdalena could spend hours in this enchanted Garden Room and she often did, [...]

Grandmothers and Gardens

They had rows of lavender lilac bushes lined up between their house and the Assumption church that perfumed the entire yard (along with the fabulous desserts and breads she was always baking).
