The Makeover…Part 1..sumptuous couture design

January 31st, 2013

We have been doing a makeover in the kitchen and adjoining family room….I call our style the Epitome of “The American Girl who is a world traveller”…we love to embrace the world and incorporate our travels into our designs. keeping a very classic timeless american girl style….We love chic couture designs that are timeless and only really need to get tweaked and freshened up every now and then…We also love having and cultivating our own unique style have never ever been interesting in re creating anything we see somewhere else and never will there is no creativity in copying others work…its so much fun to find your own unique style and make it work for you…We also love the beauty of white and how everything just seems so much fresher and prettier as it pops off of the white..creamy white glossy white winter white we love white…always makes me want to eat a big piece of yummy white wedding cake….The gorgeous chandelier at the bottom will float from the ceiling which will reflect off of the gold mirror above the glossy white fireplace….perfect in the evening. The French antique armoire houses a 50″ flat screen TV and all my sons games etc…The large movie screen is in the Billiard room…I like to keep things very neat and organized…The Kitchen is almost done…working on window treatment design…but only about 50% done in this room here…below are the fabrics and pieces that we have put together and that are on order…hopefully by summer my son Sam will be able to photograph everything….

The gorgeous mirror below will be placed above this bar cart…like to have bars everywhere so the party goers can grab a cocktail in any room they are in…

Such a chic, modern and glam makeover of your family room, Michelle! I love how you always throw in just a bit of whimsy with your beautiful decor. The bowl of saltwater taffy next to your cut crystal shaker and low ball cocktail glasses is so fun! The crisp white of your mantel is also a really nice touch that can be used to refresh any room. Cheers to you for the excellent update!
