When you walk through my door, especially if you come in the back door as my friends always do, you will walk right smack into a cocktail. I believe that is the best way to get a party started. And of course you have to have lots of yummy food to help your guests absorb all the alcohol. Your friends will be relaxed and in the party mood. We of course always have lots of non-alchoholic beverages for all to enjoy too! The iPod is always on, the fire is blazing in the fireplace and lots of food is out on the table. It can be big or small, easy or elaborate but no matter what it is always fun!
I’m betting most of you are busy as can be with holiday parties, baking, school events, entertaining, gift wrapping, fun family outings and much more! Our weekend was non- stop -fun..parties, happy hours, annual Christmas party at the neighbors, tequila at ‘D’s”, Sunday Football&Holiday fun at The Paris House, Church And a fabulous unforgettable Saturday spent all day and night in Manhattan. Lunch and shopping downtown, finding fabulous modern chic glassware and pottery at ABC Carpet & Home, Gifts from Kate Spade, a yummy Hungarian dessert shoppe , The tree, ice skaters, more food, fashion, windows at Barneys and shopping for gifts at Bergdorf Goodman and popping into the Plaza. It was a magical day indeed. I stocked up on Paul & Joe nail polish and am giving them out in bunches to the girls this year. The city was magical and I love being there so much.

recipe for tart: roll out a thawed sheet of puff pastry cut in half lengthwise, make a 1 inch border around the edges. then pile on thinly sliced tomatoes, feta cheese, sea salt, pepper, some sprigs of thyme and about 1T of chopped oregano. Bake in a 400 degree oven until puffy and golden. easy as can be! I am all about the quick effortless entertaining.
