I Love to travel and I love to travel in style. I also want to be comfortable. Before I go away, I think of where I am going, what our travel schedule is and what the style is. Meaning are we on a chic trip to Venice, a sporty adventurous getaway in Costa Rica or perhaps a trip up to preppy Saratoga Springs . On our trip to Bermuda in June I planned a very different wardrobe than I did on our vacation last week to Vermont, Massachusetts and Saratoga/Lake George NY . ( skirt Lilly Pulitzer, Pink Clutch Louis Vuitton, top Lacoste, shoes Jack Rogers)

I always lay out my clothes, planning the entire outfit for each day. If I’m spending a day at an amusement park with my children, I plan to wear very comfortable shoes and something cute and fun. I plan a few evening and dinner outfits, my casual rainy day attire, cocktail outfits, and perfect sun dresses for lunch and frozen drinks under the great awning at The Gideon Putnam resort in Saratoga Springs. ( shoes, Missoni, Clutch Kate Spade, yellow dress Mellisa Odabash, Red strapless dress, The Limited, Blue Dress J Crew, White Shorts and Navy Cardigan, straw bag, J Crew , Large Carry-on Louis Vuitton) And I always bring great accessories, lots of fun costume jewelry is a must.

Who is your ‘Muse’? Do you have someone you identify your style with, or perhaps someone who has a style you love. I love Elle Macpherson, she is classic, sexy, chic and preppy all wrapped up into one stylish woman.

***My son Sam filmed the video you see and hear in the sidebar. He is an incredibly talented 16 year old with a great passion for photography. We shot the video in Saratoga Springs and it is a great little travel video with some fun ‘vanishing- Bewitch-like tricks’, I hope you have a chance to watch it. You can also see his photographs from our recent vacation here. They are stunning. Come back and visit for more travel posts.

I only travel with carry on luggage because it makes life a lot easier for me (especially if I’m on my own). For that reason, I take very little. No room for accessories, thats for sure. I love all the goodies you take with you. You definitely travel in style.

Hello Dearest Bunny ~
My goodness, I just finished watching the video, and WOW! Not only is Sam incredibly TALENTED and a film/photographer genius, but you are the perfect TRAVEL channel hostess! Stunning, articulate, and so enthusiastic!
Bisous,
Melissa
Mhmmm…those Missoni platforms are cool!
♥
I am sure you know how to dress chic at every occasion, Bunny. I love that yellow dress..
Hi Bunny, I loved your post. I always love to see how other women put clothes together. You have some great pieces. Your son’s pictures are spectacular, what a talent he has. I’m sure you’re busy getting your boys back to school these days. Can’t believe the summer is gone. I’m looking forward to fall!
Hi, Bunny – enjoyed Saratoga Springs and seeing your outfits; and your son, Sam, did a wonder job as your videographer. And Oliver’s acting part as “cute boy” was performed handsomely!
Best,
Gloria
Bonjour Bunny,
The video is marvelous!! You are a natural. Sam has definitely found his calling in photography and film – the finger-snap was great!! I didn’ realise he has a blog… And of course, Oliver, aka ‘Cute Boy’ was perfectly cast. You must have had a blast working on this together. Look out Travel channel!
Love that white, lacey skirt – you have a wonderful sense of style!
Enjoy,
Mimi
Hello Bunny… I just love seeing all of your beautiful fashions and accessories… Your blog is always full of so much color, I love it! While the all~white trend is going on, (and I do think it is just a trend) although it is pretty, I must have color! You always show the classics that never go out of style… love to you… xoxo Julie Marie… (will relax and watch your video after dinner)…
Hi Bunny,
Isn’t it fun being a girl? I love accessories!! I must say I am not an organized packer, I am usually up packing at midnight the night before a trip. I enjoyed seeing your beautiful outfits!
Donna
Nice travel tips, Bunny. But I must admit I pack the minimum of everything when flying….usually a black skirt and black slacks and mix and match the tops according to how dressy (I always take a jacket that can go either way) and lots of scarves and simple jewelry. If I’m driving, I can take anything I want!
I guess I would have to say my fashion inspiration is the model in the Chico’s catalogs! Not that I like everything she wears…I just never really got into animal print…but, in many cases, I buy the entire outfit. I also tried to have my very dark short hair colored that white blonde like hers, but my hairdresser refused!
Have a great weekend and thanks for visiting me!
