Jewels from the sea that is….
My sweet Honey Bunny brought home some delicious shrimp from a seafood shop that has delicious fresh and cooked seafood. Absolute jewels. I knew immediately what I would make. Martha’s Shrimp Remoulade with Greek yogurt. Quick, easy, delicious, just perfect when you want to get back in the garden and not spend all day in the kitchen.

No matter how busy I am I always like to use beautiful accoutrements. Lovely elegant antique fish silver, crystal glasses, pretty dishes make everyday feel special.
Time to head out to the potting bench and get to work in my gardens. This little door leads to my flower room.
Getting to work in the Formal Rose garden. We have added a lot since this photo was taken. Soon we will add an iron gazebo to have cocktails under. Yes, it is all about the cocktail here at The Paris House Designs.

The arbor is now covered with pink roses as the clematis has stopped blooming for the season. On our other Trellises we still have some soft lilac Clematis blooming. So pretty.

Hydrangeas seem to love our soil. We grow hundreds in every color and style available. I dry them to make Fall centerpieces.

We also grow hundreds of Lillies, I love them all. Casablanca’s are my favorite (these are not Casablanca’s) I have to find some of my photos of them, I just love their fragrance. If I were to entertain Frank Sinatra at my home, My floral arrangements would be filled with the Casablanca Lilly. Yes I have fantasized about this.

If I were a gardener at Versailles I would be sure to add these lovely Plumes in honour of Madame Antoinette.

The sun is going down, the golden yellow walls in our kitchen are all aglow. Lets grab some wine shall we and then please join me under the pergola for a glass or two.
Have a lovely evening.

Bunny, what a pretty post. I love remoulade sauce, and it was my mother’s very favorite thing to have with shrimp.
Love your fish service… how gorgeous… and your lovely pergola with the chandelier. I also am in love with your wrought iron furniture. So pretty.
Hope you and Oliver are having a good day.
XO,
Sheila
I have been looking for a way to use greek yogurt in something! I have been a greek yogurt loving fool this summer!
As always…GORGEOUS! Your flowers are divine:) In Arizona it’s so difficult to grow anything floral until fall and winter. Our new home has an actual front porch (very rare in Tucson..) I plan to load it up come September:)
I love the beautiful chandelier in the last photo! I told my sister that I need a chandelier for my new porch and now I know I was right!
Hi Michele, what a beautiful post this is. Your flowers are full-bloomed and just so absolutely gorgeous and look so well-cared for.
And yes, I agree, it is all about the cocktails, here at Frog Hollow Farm as well. That shrimp salad looks yummy – I bet a glass or two of proseco or champagne would have tasted great with it. Mr. Bunny sounds like a wonderful guy!! Last night I almost finished a bottle of proseco on my own – we had two friends over for dinner on the porch. I was thinking of you the day before when I was re-organizing the furniture on the porch, trying to create two separate areas for comfortable, easy and elegant entertaining, with trying to always maximize the space. I think it turned out pretty well, although FHFB is not sold on the new floor plan (yet). Sounds like your summer is going beautifully and you are enjoying your time in your beautiful home. Ciao, bella!!
Hello Bunny…oooh, everything looks so beautiful, and the shrimp look so yummy! Each time I read a post of yours, I want to hop on a plane and fly there to visit you at the Paris House! (I have never flown in a commercial plane, only small planes with Jack as the pilot!) Hmmm… wonder if he feels like flying to New Jersey, tee hee hee! Hello to Oliver! And happy, beautiful summertime evening cocktails to you Bunny! xoxo Julie Marie
I loved Oliver’s comment!! So adorable.
Bunny your gardens are incredible from the clematis to the hydrangeas. Truly a magical place and such a lovely place to sit in the evening and enjoy a bit of bubbly. I’ve been so behind blogging and I am sorry I’ve been so neglectful. I do hope your summer has been terrific so far? You know how to do everything with such flair and style that I have no doubt you are living well! Sending you all my best xoxo deb
Bunny ~
How does your garden grow? OH SO INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL! What a wonderland you live in daily…so completely thrilled for you and the beauty you surround yourself with every. single. moment.
Bisous,
Melissa
Bunny, your flowers and gardens are beautiful. I do not have a green thumb so I really envy and admire what you’ve created. Thank you for sharing.
Your flowers are lovely, Bunny! Those hydrangeas look very happy and healthy! And your roses are such a pretty feminine color!
Such fun to visit you and your home!
Oh, my, Bunny! Your florals are exquisite. Is your clematis & roses growing on the same arbor? We just put in an arbor … I know roses will be put in shortly …love the idea of contrasting flowers tho. Your fish set is 2D4. Such a peaceful & inviting estate & pergola, sweetie.
Hugs to Jojo & my Master Oliver. Hope you are enjoying your summer’s eve.
Marydon
Oh how I love those jewels.. So delicious..
Your gardens are absolutely beautiful! So much colour going on there. And the pergola with the crystal chandelier looks so beautiful all lit up at night! What a wonderful place to enjoy a glass or two of wine! Don’t mind if I join you! LOL!! Hope the rest of your weekend is a good one. Glad I stopped by for a visit! Thanks for sharing : ) Sherri
The hubs is allergic to shrimp. It’s tragic!
YOUR FLOWERS ARE GORGEOUS, AND YOUR SHRMIP LOOKS REALLY DELICIOUS. OH, A GLASS OF CHAMPAGNE SOUNDS NICE, IT WILL BE NICE WHEN THE FALL COMES, AND THE WEATHER IS COOLER. RIZZI
Hi Bunny, thanks for stopping by my lemony post and leaving such a nice comment. I’m heading over to a class with Kurt this morning and I hope I make it through the hour – for some reason I couldn’t get to sleep until around 3am. I’ve had sleeping issues before but it seems to be getting worse again. Oh well, I’m sure tonight will be better. After my class I’m having a facial with Fernanda at the Spirit Spa in Oldwick, then home to make a new recipe for dinner with mustard chicken and a grilled potato salad with grilled zucchini and radicchio. Last night’s steamed clams and corn dinner was really delicious – check out my latest post (it’s short) when you have a minute!! Ciao, bella!
I knew it, Mr Bunny has great taste too, just like the mrs!! ~YUM*
Your garden looks so glorious, love to grow (white) Clematis, but so far not much success in my garden…
My mom should take note from you, use good silver daily~ she tends to save them for special occasions only!
Cheers to life filled with fab style Bunny!
