Please Join us for a Fairy Tale theme birthday party based on Hans Christian Anderson’s “Thumbelina”
We used wicker ‘teacups’ and filled them with bunny marshmallows, can you see the little toy hedgehog.
All the flowers were wired together and then wired onto the cages. The cages were filled with moss and decorative beetles, butterflies, ivy and more.
There was a combination of fresh, dried and silk used in the arrangements.
If you look closely you can see one of our frogs. I had many people searching for them. We only wanted to use frogs and toads in this area so they would be comfortable in their natural habitat and climate.
The sun room is decorated with Fairy Garland, Butterflies and a Hot air balloon Chandelier.
Night time Magic
The back of the centerpieces have Fairy goodie bags that hold balloons and Fairy Bubbles.
Inside each centerpiece on the tables are fairies and real live frogs and toads.
Our Cupcake flower tower is filled with Fairy cupcakes for those who just can’t wait for the birthday cake to be served (Bunny)
More floating fairy tale magic
Our gift to our niece is this lovely wooden train set.
Inside our tent you can see our pretty Japanese lanterns and our homemade May Pole we constructed.
My color palette was pink, yellow and green.

Getting ready, a long way to go…we turned this into magic at nightfall.

The cutest little Prince and Princess I ever did see.

My son Sam turned the cover of my childhood book into our “Memory Cards” that we sent home with all our guests.
All Fairy Tale’s need a fountain, we have four at The Paris House and they are always on.
The Frogs inside had water and food sources and access to hop out at any given time….beware they just might hop out onto your plate!!
Each centerpiece was slightly different and created at The Paris House…all have live frog and toads in them.
So pretty
So Cute
So yummy. I must say this was one of the easiest cakes I have ever made!! It was a breeze and very relaxing!!
You can see the goody bags in the background. Each child took home a pail filled with garden accessories.
The ‘Enchanted’ chandelier was completed and installed in the Springhouse just in time. The adults hung out here late night after all the children were sound to sleep. I had crystals put on the chandelier to add sparkle after dark. They did a fabulous job it is gorgeous.
indeed Enchanted.

Ollie down in the Spring House with Mommy getting setup.

Even the bar inside the billiard room has flowers in our color palette.
This is my sweet friend Mimi from Frumps Finding. She and I have been blogging friends for a long time now! She and her family were recently re-located to NJ and this was our first time meeting. I feel that I have known here my entire life. Her husband and twin boys are so sweet. I am looking forward to many more times spent with them.
I love sparkle in the evening.
Close up of the details on our centerpieces.

A fun Castle bouncy house kept the kids very busy and then they swam in a 90 degree heated pool. Mr. Bunny likes hot water!
Taking a little rest out in the trellis allee garden.
All the planning and organizing resulted in a memorable and magical 5th birthday party for Oliver and 3rd birthday party for his cousin Olivia. We had family and a few friends join us. It was a wonderful enchanted party. I have around 1,000 pictures and have been sorting through them all week. I have put some on here and also link to Snapfish for those of you who wish to get more ideas and hopefully inspiration to host your very own Fairy Tale Party. Our inspiration started with my childhood book “Thumbelina”, Hans Christian Anderson and it took off from there. I made the fairy cupcakes, the Candyland birthday cake, and did all the design work/centerpieces. We had the rest of the food catered from Country Picnic and I also had a lot of help from my Sister In Law Kim and all of my boys! ~Thanks, I could never have done it alone!!! ~ Then after all the kids were asleep is was off to the Spring House for some adult time and fun!
~I have missed all of you and will be spending the next few days visiting your blogs, I can’t wait! ~
Please view our party slideshow here on Snapfish

Bunny, this looks like the most fun party ever, and you paid such amazing attention to details. I love the frogs! LOL! And the cake was just incredible! You socked this out of the ballpark. I know that Oliver and his cousin were thrilled. I bet everyone there was. GREAT job! And I love the chandelier in the spring house. I know you must be excited over that and over the success of the party.
I’m posting a little late today, but I wanted to be sure and come on here and tell you that I got my cake stand and LOVE IT! Thank you SO much.
It came at the right time because I had a fall at a friend’s house yesterday and was feeling sore and miserable (though thankful I didn’t knock myself completely out), but when I got home, THERE THE BEAUTIFUL TOILE CAKESTAND WAS! You and Oliver made my day! How can anyone feel bad with such a wonderful new treasure!!! You are the sweetest ones, both of you! I will have to use it in a tablescape post as a special thank you to you two. I’m going to give it some thought and come up with something fun!
Much, much love and gratitude to you and Oliver…
XO,
Sheila
So fabulous as usual!

Live frogs and toads? Leave it to you, my friend, to create such an enchanting fairytale party, complete with frogs! Bunny, this is so amazing, I don’t even know where to start – the table, the centerpieces, the goodie pails, the memory card, OMG, I could go on and on. The icing on the cake is seeing the chandelier hung and decked out with crystals. I bow down to you Miss Bunny, I’m not worthy.

What incredible fun your niece and Oliver must have had at their birthday party. I also just love your beautiful inviation. Thank you so much for sharing this incredible event with us. For many years I have so much enjoyed reading your blog and you are such an inspiration!!! Cheers
Lia
Bunny! Oh my goodness, not only did the kids’ party look “enchanting,” but your new chandelier in your Springhouse is absolutely divine! I cannot believe how well it just “belongs” in there. You did a fabulous job in finding a fixture such as this – it is just perfect for that house. Back to the party: Everything looks wonderful, you have quite a talent! I am sure all of the kids had such a fun time. The tent where you had the party was decorated to the “tee” and the cake you made and the goodie bags look great too. But I still can’t believe your new chandelier… it is just out-of-this-world PERFECT in that setting. Use it in good health and I hope you have many fun times out there. P.S. Your son and niece looked very cute in the pics!
Best regards,
Gloria
Bunny: I adore the idea of mixing fresh, dried and silk for the flowers! IN fact, the entire party was brilliant!
Real frogs and toads??? Did any get loose? The cake is adorable and must have been such fun to make and more fun to eat.
You were exactly right to buy that enchanted chandelier…it’s perfect! Such a lovely birthday party. I love the twinkle lights at night. Enchanted evening is right!
Hello Bunny… I am just in awe of this whole post, and must go back and look again! Everything is so cute, you know me and fairytales! The little train for your niece is precious, and I love the real frogs! Oliver looks adorable and I am sure he had so much fun… my favorite photos are the ones at night, all lit up and so enchanted! Your chandelier turned out beautiful! xoxo Julie Marie
Enchanted indeed! Happy Birthday to the adorable cousins!
Hi Michele, wow, you are truly a talented woman! You continue to inspire and motivate me Michele! What a wonderful party and I’m sure, truly special memories as well. Our frogs here at Frog Hollow Farm were impressed as well and happy to see the wonderful environments you set up for their froggy friends. Just read your comment on my blog and making cookies sounds like a perfect thing to do today – cozying up your kitchen with the oven and what’s better than the smell of baking cookies? The quilt kit looks like it’s going to be pretty easy – all the cutting is already done and I think that’s the most tedious part anyway! I’ll take a photo of it when it’s all done – can’t wait to give it to the new mother and baby. I’m going to call Aaron or Kurt at MOVE and set up a time to head over there and talk about putting a program together that works with my schedule – I hate waking up early to exercise and don’t sleep well if I work out too late in the day -even a late yoga class seems to keep me awake. Today I’m home working on organizing my recipes and getting a menu program together – I used to have menu cards put together when the kids were small and I was working full time – they came in so handy. Right now I’m trying to keep track of all the delicious recipes I’ve been making – sometimes I don’t remember which cookbook I used or where I’ve saved the recipe on line. So, what’s up for you at The Paris House in the near future, any new ventures or travel plans? FHFB and I were hoping to get to Ireland this fall, but our friends called and they want us to got to Paris with them! So, not sure what we’ll do – I’d love to do both! Ciao, bella!
so inspirational
Lovely party! Did you those toadstools yourself? If not, where did you get them? Thanks! Would love a step-by-step diy of the bird cage center piece.
