A friend and business associate of mine stopped by do drop off some samples for a project we are woking on. I knew she was bringing her daughter and I thought it would be adorable to set up a sweet little ‘Pastry Shop’ in my studio where she could eat special little treats while her mom and I worked. The bonus, I have a ton of Barbie dolls and Barbie toys under the French Antique Bed and stored in a nearby closet. She was enchanted by the yummy goodies and all the Barbies.
I knew I would have no time to bake as it was spur of the moment, I had plans later that evening with friends and a full day of kids, errands and business. I went to Whole Foods and Coco Luxe Patisserie and purchased lovely treats. We have a wonderful Whole Foods and the chicest sweetest Patisserie nearby that has wonderful goodies. When I arrived home I quickly set everything up in our studio/office area.
My very talented son Sam photographed many of the pictures in this post, his are the better ones!!
Moral of this blog post, ‘Sometimes take-out is a Bunny’s best friend’
Plus it freed me up to make a quick healthy dinner and then put on some pink lipgloss and high heels and go out later that evening with friends.
Dinner Menu:
Gorgonzola, rosemary, honey, grape whole wheat pizzas
quick marinated grilled steak
caprese salad with pesto drizzle
melon wrapped in proscioutto
~see photos of menu below~

Bunny, that dessert table is driving me nuts, it looks so yummy! That blue pedestal cake plate is soooo pretty.
I was drawn to the small glass and metal table in the first shots. That’s a beauty. The desserts look good too but a table is forever. — Jane F.
Bunny!
This is off-the-charts a wonderful idea ~ can you just imagine all the lovely, fluffy, sweet thoughts that went through the little girl’s head when she entered the room?!!? What a wonderful treat!
Bisous,
Melissa
Hi, Bunny! This is my first time leaving a comment, although I have visited your site a couple of times before – I am new to blogging, so I am checking out everyone’s wonderful blogs. (My blog is pretty lame so far, but I keep saying that I hope to be adding to it soon!) Your treats look divine – I know that the visiting little girl probably went straight for that mini rose-colored iced chocolate cup! The cake looks delicious too. And those little pastel meringue sandwiches – they look delightful! PLUS, your very chic dinner — I enjoyed seeing everything. Thanks for sharing!
Best regards,
Gloria
Bunny, this little girl will never in a million years forget what a treat you’ve prepared for her. You are beyond awesome!
