I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter week and Passover. Our weather was blissful. Mid 70′s everyday..just glorious.
I thought I would share some of what goes on here the day after Easter. After a long hard workout to burn off some of the one million calories I consumed over the holiday, I like to get back to Spring cleaning.
Mr. Bunny bought me the lovely candles for Easter and the roses are from my friend “D”, he sent me home with some of the sweetest smelling roses. Of course that is my sweetheart Ollie in our formal rose garden finding some hidden Easter Eggs. The Flowers on top were photographed by our 16 year old son Sam.

Ollie and I took a wagon ride after church on Good Friday…I was already thinking about leftover ham and making some delicious herb cheese omelette’s.
After a busy week cooking, baking and entertaining I just love leftovers.

That gives me time to clean up around The Paris House.
Even though I have help with some of our cleaning and various projects I still love to clean and work both inside and outside of our home. I buy pretty cleaning products that are both good for the environment and they smell nice. My hot pink garden gloves and rubber gloves just make me happy. I am like Amy Adams in ‘Enchanted’ I actually smile when I am doing projects around here.

Now it is off to our old ‘Springhouse’ this is where we do a lot of wine tasting. I love it in here. The ceilings are soaring high and all the walls are made of stone. It smells like grapes when you walk in here.
We have hosted many wine tasting and costume parties over the years in this little house. My favorite is when we go down and roast marshmallows with the kids and us adults drink fabulous wine and just talk all night long.

I would love it if you my dear blogging friends could stop by and enjoy a glass of wine with us one evening. How wonderful that would be!

We are now ‘cleaning’ up all of our outdoor iron furniture. The white iron bench above is an antique from France. The pieces were getting very very rusty and needed to be scraped and painted with a fresh coat of white paint. Everything looks beautiful on and near white tables and furniture.
Well I must be off now to actually make those Ham and Cheese omelette’s

See you soon

Hi Bunny, oooh, I want to come live in your Springhouse… I love it! I think I would just spend hours upon hours in there, maybe with coffee and a good book, or just daydreaming… I hope you all had a Happy Easter… Oliver looks so cute hunting for eggs! Hi Oliver! I started our Spring cleaning as well, but we have had SNOW all week and that doesn’t make me happy when the sun is supposed to be shining! We have all kinds of hazardous weather warnings out for tonight… I want Spring and to be outside with my gardens like you are! Your ham and cheese omelets sound delish… YUM! Don’t work too hard… I love your garden furniture! xoxo Julie Marie

I can’t wait to go to Trader Joes tomorrow!!!
Hi Michele, I just love those Meyer cleaning products too! And those pink gloves are just so much fun – you have to look fabulous even when cleaning, right? FHFB would just die to see your springhouse – and to be able to have wine tastings, really wonderful! I’m also trying to get our outdoor furniture ‘up and running’ but I’m not sure what pieces to get for the porch. I’m thinking of a four-chair seating area rather than a couch and two chairs – just haven’t seen anything that I love yet. Whenever I’m physically spring cleaning I always feel like I cleaned out the cobwebs from my winter brain, do you know what I mean? It’s a fresh, new start for everything, and so nice to look forward to after the winter that we’ve had here in the northeast. Take care and enjoy that beautiful yard – and Trader Joe’s – and time with Oliver. Will have to try those omelets soon. Ciao, bella!
Hello: Your Spring House is so amazing. It truly looks like a wonderful little winery. I just love the wood ceilings. How fun your parties must be with the children roasting marshmellows and the adults talking and sipping wine. Your gardens are beautiful too. Cheers, Lia
Thanks so much for mentioning me! Wow! I can’t get over how beautiful your house for wine tasting is! I just love the stone walls! I could live in it!! Your Paris House is like a fairytale! You must wake up everyday and pinch yourself (before the cleaning starts LOL!! ) At least you enjoy it!! Hope you have a great week ahead! I’ll pop back soon! Sherri : )
Bonjour Bunny,
Glad you had a good Easter weekend. Everything looks so pretty and ready for Spring. The French chaise is wonderful. The Springhouse looks like the perfect spot to meet with friends. Oliver looks excited about the eggs and the wagon ride with Mom!
Have a great week!
Mimi

Ah! I remember it well. Cleaning, sanding and touching up the outdoor furniture and getting my screened-in porch set up for summer! Those days are over now that I live in summer all year, but I never minded that kind of spring cleaning because it meant happy, sunny days of outdoor entertaining were on the way.
I love, love, love your stone house, Bunny! And what fun it would be to join you there for a wine tasting!
I love your white outdoor furniture!!! Yay for warmer weather and Spring cleaning. I have a bit to do myself
xoxo Laura
I’ll be right over for that omelette!
I would loooooooove to stop by for a glass of vino in that gorgeous room!
Bunny, I love to come and visit you! Your style is the ultimate! I can just see you all pink and smiling with your feather duster and high heals cleaning your house! And I’m sure you were wearig just the right lipcolor too. No matter how I look, my hair must be done, lipstick on and wearing at least some good jewelry! It just makes me feel better.
Your tasting room and garden is lovely. Yes, I’ll have a nice jaunty glass of prosecco please.
Blessings,
Yvonne
