I hope you enjoy a little tour of our fruit trees in the orchard.
We have a variety and cook and bake with them each year. Â I have included some of my favorite photos of our trees. Â Grab a cup of coffee or tea, depending on the time of day, perhaps a glass of wine and relax for a few minutes. Â If you try hard enough you may even be able to smell their sweet fragrance through your computer screen.
Spring is indeed so lovely.

When I was in my 20’s and engaged to Mr. Bunny we were busy looking for the perfect home in the country in New Jersey.  We wanted unique, private, land to garden on and for all of our pets, a swimming pool,  driving distance to Manhattan and it had to be a stone and clapboard farmhouse. And no low ceilings, I don’t like darkness indoors. We also wanted a little flowing stream on it.  My husband and I like moving water.  We wouldn’t compromise, we knew what we wanted and we were determined to find it. We found our old historic Carriage House that was in good condition but way too small for us.  It didn’t matter we knew we would hire an architect and create our dream home  which we did a few years after we moved in.  The main selling point was the property we just loved it.  When My best friend was visiting me in NJ I took her to see the house 17 years ago and one of the first things I noticed was the amazing orchard in full bloom.  I went to find my fiance, Mr. Bunny, to tell him that I found our new home and that we will be living there for the rest of our lives.  Now 17 glorious years later I love it all the more.

I let Nature be the star in my outdoor designs. Â No need for much. Â A pop of my favorite color shows up in my umbrella and the white tulle seems perfect on the old rustic wood table. Behind the table is our Spring house and behind that is where my new baby chicks will be living soon.
The Hens will be called, Peony, Petunia, Daffodil, Violet, Rose and Lilly

I enjoy cooking with Apple Blossom Honey.  More is on its way  to our boutique straight from the Farmer’s Market.

My delicious Apple Blossom Bee Sting Pound Cake
I substituted my apple blossom honey and added a glaze to this moist yummy cake.

Do you take time to stop and smell the ‘roses’ ????  The hammock in the background gets used  a lot by my kids.  On hot summer days I love to lie there with Oliver and read storybooks.
It is so peaceful here.

Stop and Smell the roses today, perhaps you can get outdoors and do a little yoga or go for a walk with your children and pets. Â Take time to breath, relax, find gratitude that you have the strength and health to get through the day. Â If you are not well today take comfort in the hope that this too shall pass.
Stare at a loved one a little bit longer, taking in their beauty….remember it forever. Time goes by so fast.

A sweet hello from Frog Hollow Farm. What beautiful flowering trees you have at The Paris House, and your photos were so wonderful that I think I did get a hint of fragrance while reading through your post! Finding a house like yours is just so special, and making it a home is even better. Fixing up an older home and bringing it back to it’s purpose of housing a family and pets is just one of those things you have to actually do to understand. Your property is gorgeous, and your appreciation of all that you have is inspiring! Ciao, bella!
I’m soooooooo jealous of your future baby chicks!!!!
Michele your orchard is simply gorgeous. Truly a place that is thought of as ‘made by god’ like you said. You both made a wise decision at a young age to make this your home.
Congrat’s again on your children’s book.. a huge..huge accomplishment. Your family must be so proud of you?!
Have a relaxing Sunday evening and a great new week ahead.
xoxo deb
Thank you so much for visiting the blog I share with my sisters and for your sweet comment! I have just had a lovely time looking through this blog and I love it!
Your spring-time pictures are just beautiful.
Best wishes,
Natasha.
Hello Bunny… oooh, this is such a beautiful post! I LOVE Magnolias and apple blossoms! You are ahead of us now, our Magnolia trees are not quite in bloom yet, and neither are the apple blossoms… apricots are blossoming here right now and I love them! Your gardens looks so peaceful and pretty, and how fun you are getting some little chicks! I know you live in your perfect dream house, it is just gorgeous! From now until late fall, I spend sooo much time out of doors… like you, I just breathe in all of God’s beauty and all of Nature and love every minute of it… infact we just bought a new patio set today and I will custom order a tilting umbrella tomorrow… I could spend hours outside, just daydreaming and relaxing or reading… thank you also for your so sweet comments on my post about the baby elephants… I can always count on you and dear Amy at Bunny Rose Cottage to read my posts, and the one on the baby elephants meant alot to me… you and Amy are the greatest! Happy relaxing Spring to you! xoxo Julie Marie PS Your cake looks delish!
You have the most splendid home. I am jealous of your beautiful garden. I have 3 apple trees in the back. They don’t even have new leaves on them yet, yet alone flowers. Your bee cake looks absolutely adorable. Love it.
Hope you had a nice weekend.
*kisses* HH
Oh! darling, I love spring and the spring colours too. This weekend we had sunny days and blue skies, I did some gardening and some day-dreaming. Love the names you have chosen for the hens, lucky hens to live at your realm. Wishing you a lovely week sweetie.

What lovely flowering trees, Bunny! I remember it well. My grandmother had a magnolia tree, I loved it! When I was first married we had a farm with lots of fruit trees, gardens, horses and everything we loved. Property like this is so much work! But most of all what I remember is the property was surrounded by enormous lilac bushes…all colors. Someone, many years before, had been clever enough to plant them. In every house we ever lived in, I planted a bush called viburnum carlesii around every porch or patio we had. It has a white flower and a fragrance so very lovely.
Enjoy all the lovely spring flowers, bushes and trees. Living in Florida has its advantages, but spring flowers is NOT one of them!
Gorgeous post, love your blog!
