I love to travel anywhere both near and far but I also love coming back to our lovely home.
First thing I do when I get back from vacation is play with our pets, I miss them so much when we are away. I sort the mail, start a load of laundry, check on our bunnies outdoors, start the long unpacking process, deal with a little Paris House business, check on our gardens and then I start our menu planning ideas for the week.
I can not wait to get back in the kitchen cooking but especially baking!!

Menu Planning for this week:
Sunday, guacamole and whole wheat chips, icy cold beer. Grilled skirt steak salad ( I changed this recipe a little, I did not use roast beef, we grilled a skirt steak that was marinated in teriyaki sauce), Cream Cheese Whipped Scrambled eggs on nut bread topped with smoked salmon and chives, My Brazilian housekeeper’s version of chicken empanadas, my interpretation of her recipe, Pots de Cremes. Icy cold beer and a selection of wine. (Bloody Mary’s were served at Brunch)
Monday- Turkey meatballs filled with organic cheese surprise, spaghetti, Bunny’s homemade organic chocolate chip cookies and milkshakes for the kids.
Tuesday- Grilled salmon and asparagus over pappardelle pasta in a lovely fresh creamy lemon sauce. White wine
Wednesday- Organic herbed chicken fingers, sour cream Parmesan noodles, child friendly fun carrots, chocolate espresso brownies. Shirley Temples. This menu is not only perfect for kids, it is organic, wholesome and yummy.
Thursday- Homemade Lentil Soup, Cucumber Salad with toasted pita bread, roasted herbed carrots, shortbread cookies, April in Paris Cocktails. All recipes in Martha Stewart’s Magazine.
Friday- a variety of organic homemade pizzas. Grilled eggplant fontina. cheese and pancetta pineapple. Big platter filled with organic chocolates and fresh fruits. Variety of cocktails.
Saturday- Spicy buttered crab legs, grilled fillet Mignon, large tossed salad, Homemade Cakes, imported beer and a sparkling Cava.

This delicious scrambled egg dish was quick and easy to make. It was part of our Sunday morning Brunch. This was served with The Tavern on the Green Bloody Mary recipe.

Oliver was happy to get back home too. He had two birthday parties to go to on Sunday. He and I ran out to Target and picked up some presents and these fun decorations and then we embellished the gift bags to make them more personal and fun!
Then after his parties we put together the his Sea Monkey Magic Castle Kit. Oliver has all the info. on his blog if anyone out there is interested.

Also, If you haven’t entered our toile cake stand giveaway there is still time, simply leave a comment to win. As mentioned our Toile Pieces are on back order due to the Country Living feature. We are hoping to have more in soon. A big thanks to Country Living I don’t know how you found my little blog but I am so happy you did!

And if I am not crazy busy enough we have been working more on our “BUNNY CAKES, BAKE SHOP” Where we are making and baking organic delicious old fashioned bake goods and some fancy Parisian pastries that are being shipped out. More on that to come. We are working with a wonderful group of men and women that are helping with this project! ( I always get I asked when I sleep, I don’t , life is way too much fun )
Have a wonderful day.

A sweet hello and welcome home from Frog Hollow Farm! Bunny, you are something else – I can’t believe you are starting an on-line bake shop – Congratulations! And I love that little photo of Oliver – did you get my pic of our cat Olive -I thought Oliver might get a kick out of it. I’m off to planning our aperitivo menu for the week – your menu sounded just wonderful by the way! Ciao, Bella!
Welcome Back Bunny!

What an amazing week of food
I’m so glad I came back for a “visit” today. First, I might just “take” your weekly menu for my own–delicious! Second, I’m planning more trips to New England and will peruse your blog for suggestions in that area. I’m guessing that you live in New England?
I miss those wonderful birthday parties. Such fun to pick out and wrap gifts!

Glad you made it back safely from your trip. I sent you and email but not sure you received it, been having trouble with Gmail delivering about 5 days later for some crazy reason.
