A very damp day in the city, It only took one hour to get in then the rain slowed things down.. but I need to get into the Diamond District plus my dermatologist is in from Santa Monica Ca. and I want to squeeze in an appt. while she’s on the east coast.
( I’m not sure why, but my collages are too big?? and I’m too tired to fix them, so what I’m asking is, do you think the oufit is a do or a don’t..?? I wish I had a pair of these silver boots, I would only wear them at night and I would skip the white tights and the red velvet jacket. I would wear something very simple and cute with them????)
Whenever I am on 5th Avenue I always think of my mother and the times we would go to the Louis Licari salon and then go shopping and get chocolates after, we haven’t done that in awhile, maybe in a couple weeks we’ll head in. I felt a little teary eyed that day, I think its PMS and the rain.

As I was driving around the city in the rain I felt very lonely. Do you ever feel alone and sad even when surrounded by thousands and thousands of people??
Rainy days make me feel this way , and the fact that I was without my boys. I love some rain, you know, the kind when its 90 degrees out and you are in a sexy sultry romantic place with your significant other or when you are walking around the country side in Ireland or the Cotswolds and it is a fine mist that you see coating the roses and giving your skin that dewy glow. This was damp, dark and rainy, but I took care of business and came home with a dewy glow on my face thanks to my fabulous dr.

This one is cut off, but I am wondering what is in that giant Tory Burch shopping bag. Are you fans of Tory. It seems New Yorker’s love her. I like her flats, they are stylish and comfy. There is also a sign that said The Diamond District…A Girl’s Best Friend.

( One of the most gorgeous museums in the world. I kept looking in this window and wondering what the pattern on the china was and how the people lived and what they did…..)
Again more cut off pictures. When I was driving by The Mean Fiddler Bar I was wondering what it was like inside. Then I thought knowing me if I went in there I would end up on the evening news. But at least I was wearing fabulous shoes.
Now it is time to head home I talked to my dear friend ‘Dorkalicious’ all the way home. I call him that because he is a Dork, no I just like to tease him. He’s fun to talk to , we gossip and even my husband doesn’t understand what the heck we talk about for so long, but as Dorkalicious told him..I’m fun and I change the topic enough that it never gets boring…Aw that’s so sweet, but whats even sweeter, I stopped feeling lonely.
( For a fun comparison of my gray day in the city and what its like back in the country where we live see the post below….)

I love New York. That outfit is just what I would want to see on the street there. From what I can see from your picture it looks pretty cute. It looks Christmasy. Maybe she’s on her way to have her Christmas cards done! It’s been raining here for about 3 weeks. We had sun yesterday and today, but more rain is coming.

Rainy days are so good at home. I prefer not to go out when it rains, but thanks for this Manhattan tour..
Oh Bunny, I love visiting you and your blog! Everything is so romantic! Well now, about the rain… I have never walked around the countryside of Ireland or the Cotswolds… is it anything like coming out of TJ Maxx into a downburst and you forgot to bring your umbrella??? tee hee hee! Bisous… Julie Marie
Oh Bunny,
Thank you for the trip through Manhattan. Manhattan is at the top of my list for the things I miss about living in NY! I really miss the museums and the shows too!
Loved all your photos and isn’t Julie a hoot! That girl totally cracks me up! I just realized that I need to put your new web address into my blog roll, that’s why I’m not getting your updates. Sorry friend, I can be a little slow.
Hugs and love!
Karyn
Oh Soul Sister,
I was commenting on your blog when you were commenting on mine! Tacky glue works wonderfully to glue on the fabric. Have fun!!
A day in the diamond district…That is just what the doctor ordered!!
I love these photos. The rain looks so nice.
Rainy days usually get me down……unless I’m home and cozy. Yes, yes I know just what you are talking about….feeling lonely in the middle of a crowd. Not a pleasant feeling. I bet knowing you were going home to such adorable sons and your great hubby helped put a smile on your face! What fun you and your mom must have going to LL and out for chocolate…..sounds wonderful!!
I loved your comment on my blog today…..my boys do the same thing! Especially now that I know Ross has medical problems….you can bet I am snuggling with him every night! I loved that you shared about your boys, so encouraging!!
You are awesome Bunny
hugs,
Mimi

Bunny Darling,
I feel like that too sometimes…lonely even when I was among the crowds!
I think we both are very sensitive & emotional beings, but the bright side is that people like us are mostly quite artistic…ok better stop before I get teary again! Perhaps we both are in the same month cycle! ~Dang* TMI haha…

Hi Bunny!
WOW, I have never been to New York!! You are so lucky, it looks wonderful and I bet the shopping is amazing! I live in a little town. But I do sometimes feel the most lonely in crowds! Kind of like I dont mean anything to anyone. I dont like that feeling.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog! I have loved my visit to yours
Hugs,
Amy
I love these photos!!! So beautiful!
I used to love rainy days because they reminded me of trips to NY and Europe, where it always seems to be rainy, but now that I live in Tokyo and it’s ALWAYS rainy it seems to get me a bit down too. Especially as it gets colder. Not so good for riding a scooter! But your photos make the rain look romantically meloncholy, not sad at all! Love it
