Loving Life and the Sunday Styles Section

SUNDAY LOVELY SUNDAY…..

THIS is a tiny spot in my not so tiny kitchen, I like small pretty spaces they seem more special to me. This marble topped table goes wherever I go…it was in my first apartment where I lived in my 20′s. My husband (who was my boyfriend at the time) and I used to eat dinner on it, now its in our kitchen.

The Sunday Styles is the icing on my Sunday

I love nutri grain waffles with lots of butter, Vermont maple syrup and organic bacon and fruit, with coffee of course! I usually make homemade blueberry pancakes on Sundays but today the boys ate early and were already in the pool by the time I was ready for breakfast…
This is my mis matched little spot in my kitchen, it is far away from our breakfast area and center island, its nice and quiet. The Pink gingham chair is a very old family antique.

No matter what just make it pretty…Fresh Lillie’s from our garden.
Ahhh…peace and quiet they are all outside in the pool, now I get to read the Sunday Times….YAY!!!
Now its time for a little tea….
An assortment of teas straight from Paris, I brought back the Lauderee and my friend brought me the Marriage Freres another spectacular tearoom in Paris.

Lots of color and cheer to start the day
TOP 10 REASONS I LOVE SUNDAYS:
1) My entire family is together.
2) I give myself permission to do whatever the heck I want to and don’t feel guilty about it. Reading, playing cards with the kids, gardening, forgetting there is a ton of laundry..
3) I play Wii fit and Wii Active with my kids, I get a fun little workout in while having a blast with my boys
4) I eat the most fattening, sickeningly sweet syrupy breakfast on the planet with 10,000 calories in it and love every minute of it
5) I always pray and say what I’m grateful for whether in church or at home
6) I make a yummy “comfort” type Sunday style dinner like the ones I grew up with.
7 If I have the time I give myself an at home Spa Day, this often only consists of a three minute Kate Sommerville exfoliating facial treatment, but hey three minutes to a busy mom feels like a day at a real spa
8) I make mimosas, bloody Mary’s or some kind of a Sunday Brunch cocktail.
9) I talk on the phone for way too long to my parents about how much I still miss all of my Grandparents and all the Sundays I spent at their homes when I was growing up
10) I read the New York Times Sunday Style Section….and am in complete bliss.

Of course there are the occasional Sundays, especially if we are travelling, that this gets all mixed up and switched around but this is how I like to spend my Sundays…

These are my reasons for loving Sunday's as well, only I read the Dallas Morning News Lifestyle section and the funnies. There is a comic strip called ZITS that I swear is written about my oldest son. It is so funny! What do you like about Tuesdays? Have a good Tuesday. Smiles, KIM

Oh Bunny…I LOVE your small marble table..what great memories that little table must have!!! (I have a wicker one about the same size that I have had since my first apartment as well!)

I agree about Sundays….Its just a day to relax, enjoy life, and remember how nice it is to have family and friends who care! (Plus a little time for thanking God for all of that too!)

As always….you always have the greatest pictures, and now that Ive seen that breakfast Im thinking I should fix something too!!! LOL
