Bringing things home can fill your home and your heart with memories…I love finding special items when I travel.
If you are single OR if your husband and kids are away, you may enjoy this book, I have not read it or cooked from it yet BUT it did get very good reviews. I found mine at my favorite bookstore in Vermont, The Northshire

This is from Dorset Vermont, it can go in the oven, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator. perfect for a chicken casserole
Look at this cheery little Porcupine scrubber. I fell in love with him at first sight. I’m using him to scrub potatoes, We make a lot of Sweet Potato Fries so he will make cleaning them a lot cheerier!! Is that not the most beautiful Pepper grinder ever. Both chic and earthy…I found it at Sutton’s in Lake George. I bought the book because I loved the cover…and I have heard good things about it!! (The picture above this is of some Adirondack pieces I brought back..The potting bench is different than the one in the picture, the one I found has a nice spot for either dirt, but I am going to put galvanized buckets in there for ice and bottles of wine and use it as a combination bar and potting bench. The blue rocking chair is so pretty, it will definitely add a lot of color to the garden or the porch. The natural stained chairs will go out near our spring house and pumpkin patch for a more natural rustic look and the white Adirondack will go near my balcony columns for a more “dressy” look. I’m from the Adirondacks so It is about time I got myself some Adirondack chairs!!
Some more finds from our travels. The cute Jaunty napkins are from “Happy Jacks” in Bolton Landing as are the oh so cute Paper Straws. The Blue lantern is from Fo Castle Farms

The Lilly Pulitzer pieces are all from Lilly in Manchester Vermont. The candles are from the Yankee Candle that is also in Vermont.
This is the most adorable bag, it not only has a toile scene on it but a beach one. I love the “B” travel mug, no plastic bottles for this earth friendly Bunny. The Blue pitcher was also found at Suttons in Lake George and the vintage wrapping paper was found in Stillwater NY for only 99 cents!!
We found these adorable ceramic pieces in Dorset Vermont and they immediately came home with us. I love the crisp fresh lawn green colors.

I don’t care for shopping in a mall but I LOVE shopping off and on the beaten path when I travel. I love bringing things home from places both near and far that remind me of happy travel times with my loved ones.
Over the years we have furnished a lot of our home from antiques and items from all over the world. From France, to the Middle East. I like to surround my self with things that I love and that tell a story of our life.
Vermont has been a constant source for beautiful antiques that we have found over the years.

Love all your new treasures, can't decide what my favorite is…they are all so lovely! I do want a rocking chair though, something so peaceful and relaxing about a rocking chair!
I too like to surround my self with things that I love and that tell a story of my life. Have a great Friday and a fabulous weekend!
