make it chic and pretty
The lovely glasses are from Claude Monet’s home at Giverny
I used a variety of champagnes and sparkling wines that evening
I love Cherries prepared any possible way and now that they are still available at our local Markets I can’t stop buying them. I have posted a recipe for a wonderful Cherry Almond Tart that I have been making for some time now, but I wanted to find a way to incorporate them into a cocktail. I had purchased some very *expensive Spirited Cherries awhile ago and used them in Martinis and various cocktails but I just wasn’t dazzled and I like to be dazzled when it comes to “La Cuisine” of all types. I had some friends over and decided to just add a couple teaspoon fulls of the cherries and the juice to a champagne flute and then top with some sparkling wine, Cava, Preseco, Champagne, all will work just beautifully. I think my favorite was when I used some sparkling rose from France, just delicious.
This is simple and elegant. *you can easily make your own spirited cherries and save a lot of money. They also make fantastic hostess gifts!!
