MIXOLOGY 101

We have added a “Mixology 101″ column to our Monthly Newsletter and On Line Magazine/Blog. My very good friend has kindly put together the two cocktail recipes seen below along with a delicious recipe for one of my favorites “Affagato”

MEX-TINI (mexican martini)

2.5 oz tequila
1.5 oz Cointreau/Grand Marnier
1 oz OJ
1 oz Lime
2 oz Sweet n Sour
Splash of Sprite if you like…

Shake over ice and serve with a couple olives…

Just in case you’d like… you can make your own Sweet and sour mix w/8 oz lemon juice and 2TB sugar.

COSMO-QUILA

2.5 oz tequila
1 oz Cointreau
0.5 oz lime
splash of cranberry

shake over ice and serve

The other thing that I’d like to mention is an enjoyable treat for hot nights after dinner…

AFFAGATO
Scoop of vanilla ice cream with expresso poured over… yummy!! Affagato means drowned in Italian… and I can always rememeber what it’s called because I always used to forget…. I-forgot-o. In Italy it was usually served with some kind of little delicate cookie smooshed into the “gelato”

Merci Mille Fois to the Ice House Mixologist, nobody makes a cocktail like him!! And For all you single Ladies out there he is Cute and Single!
