Humidity and The Curling Iron

May 27th, 2009

I spent the day out near my pool with friends and my kids. It was hot and humid with rain on the way. Why does any of this matter?? It does because I was going out to a dinner party where the hostess is French and beautiful and I wanted to look nice. I had my hair in pigtail braids all day long and when I went up to get ready I just removed them (by then my hair had dried in the sun) and took my 1 1/2″ Revlon curling iron and tamed my waves into softer curls. It took me about 5 minutes!!

I love my curling iron

Whenever I am going out somewhere special I head to the Mendham Spa for the worlds greatest blowout from Meghan. However on this rainy hot and humid day my hair would be a giant ball of frizz by the time I got to my car. Not only that but I wanted to spend the day by the pool hanging out with family and friends. So I wash my hair, put in some great product to control frizz, then put it in braids. When it dries I just do as I mentioned before. I’m ready in minutes without the uncontrolable curls that I have naturally. It is somewhere in the middle of my blow outs and my natural curls. And it only takes minutes, BTW the Missoni dress is so pretty no one probably even noticed my hair!!

Your hair looks fabulous. What product do you use? And that Missoni dress? Be still my heart.
