A pretty tray set up for appetizers and cocktails
This is served on a stone leaf platter. very rustic. Perfect for this appetizer
You want to make a quick delicious elegant appetizer sure to dazzle your guests BUT you only have minutes….Well try this my friends.
Figs and Gorgonzola Cheese Melted over Buttered Baguettes drizzled with Honey
Butter French baguettes that you have sliced in half ,place on a baking sheet and toast lightly in an oven pre-heated to 375degrees
remove from oven place gorgonzola cheese and sliced figs (fresh or dried) on top of baguettes return to oven and broil until cheese is melted and bubbly. Be careful not to burn the baguettes.
Remove from oven. Drizzle with *Honey and sprinkle with a tiny bit of finishing salt.
serve immediately on a lovely platter for all to enjoy. I like a fruity wine with this to compliment the figs and cut through the flavor of the gorgonzola.
wine suggestion: Sparkling rose
* I use Fancy Tupelo Honey

That looks luscious. Unfortunately, Prodigal Wife won’t be in the same room as gargonzola–coward–so have to sneak it in… Though to be fair, I’m not a fan of goat cheese.
Must try!
