I just love my antique Pie Safe. I love it because of its history and I wonder about all the women who baked before me and actually used it for its original purpose…to keep Pies Safe. They could cool off and be protected from insects and perhaps little ones overly interested fingers trying to sneak a taste. I also love my Pie Safe because I found it in Vermonot one of my favorite places in the world. I fell in love with it at first site and while I was back in NJ at my farmhouse kept thinking of it and knew I just had to have it. I sent my Grandmother, Mother and my Aunt Betty over to see it ( they all live about an hour from Vermont) They all loved it too! Now it sits in my home and has for over 10 years now. My Grandmother and my Aunt Betty are no longer with us but everyday I look at this beautiful antique I am reminded of them. I love to rescue the past and combine it with all the new memories that we make each day with our loved ones.
