13 years ago my family and I were in the South of France, in the Cannes region. It is stunningly beautiful, and incredibly expensive. I have always liked orgina’s , I love the taste , their pretty bottle and that they are not overly sweet like an orange soda. I don’t care for soda. I just remember that they were so expensive, now this is going back over 12 or 13 years and I think they were around $8 us dollars from the mini bar, where everything is over priced. When you are jet lagged, and very thirsty with a two year old son that is keeping you busy in a foreign country, you just grab what is easy and drink it.
I still buy Orangina’s at home in the states but enjoy making my own version even more. We always have delicious orange juice in the refrigerator and we always have a lot of ice cold sparkling water. All I do is mix equal parts of each and garnish with a fresh Orange slice. I do this all the fruit juice I drink, even my homemade blueberry lemonade’s become homemade blueberry lemonade spritzers. I think my version of Orangina is even better, It is certainly fresher and definately cheaper.
